The only hope I have is that Avery has gotten his teams to perform during the sec tournament during his tenure . General consensus seems to be win Saturday or win 2 next week to get into the NCAA tournament.

Well the good news is another bubble team, Louisville, lost. They lost on a buzzer beater to Virginia

UVA was down 4 with 0.9 seconds left and won by 1 in regulation. Think about that lol

UL fouled a 3pt shooter w .9 seconds left.

UVA made 2 FT and lane violation on the 3rd

UL "travels" on inbounds forgetting he can't run the baseline

UVA hits a Bank shot 3 at buzzer

I have a theory on how to judge early tomorrow how Bama will play. If you see guys passing up open 3s to either drive or just wait until they get covered up, we will not play well. If you see guys shooting without hesitation (doesn't matter if they go in or not) it will be a sign that the guys are playing with more confidence and we will play well. Now if those shots don't go in for an extended time, then we will see the hesitation return and it will get ugly.

Hopefully the guys are motivated and hungry to get back on track tomorrow.

They had 2 practices yesterday including a 6 am one. Avery said maybe that’ll wake them up.

I like the change in attitude this comment suggests. It wasn't as much as Avery's earlier points/arguments were bad, he just never seemed to own up to poor performances.

Nebraska losing to Michigan today would help us.

Well that was Avery Jr that said that. Not Avery Sr. Coach Avery’s comments never sound as good as his son’s

Serious question: if Bama travels to College Station and looks like a “Walking Dead” episode on the court again, should Avery be fired?

Personally, if we play with some enthusiasm and look mentally involved in the game, win or lose, I’m ok with it and won’t complain. But if we play like we did against Florida, he’s lost this team and needs to go. A coach’s most fundamental responsibility is to be the leader, the man in charge. If he’s not that, then he’s not the coach regardless of what his title is.

No he isn’t fired and shouldn’t be. You would have to at least let him finish out the SEC tourney and see what he can do there

Like, at the airport? No. But it would definitely not help his cause once the season ends.

I know I'm a little harsh, but I wish he was already gone. He would need to make it to the sweet 16 for me to change my mind.

Well I meant after the season ended, I didn’t mean fire him in the locker room after the game.
