He took this shite job when nobody else wanted it? Who the frick else did we ask?!? Gregg Marshall who’s got a cush job at Witchita State, got it rolling and is on cruise control and oh by the way, used us to squeeze WSU to fricking death for $4 mill a year!?! Who else?? We didn’t even fricking try!! Jesus, he called us and asked for an interview. Why? Because he couldn’t get another gig in the NBA who is probably the only pro sports league that hires more retreads regardless of record than the NFL. Hell, do you think if we would have asked, Ben Howland would have still chosen Stark Vegas over Tuscaloosa? Or Rick Barnes? You’re the same type of fan that wanted Mike Shula and Bill Curry retained because they were such nice men. Why am I wasting my time arguing with you? You don’t get it and you never will.

Whoa whoa , I wanted shula gone dude... Pretty broad judgement. Marshall was never coming here... The arsehole used us as a bargaining chip...not to mention Avery beat him with an inferior team.

In the long run, Alabama needs to decide how it wants to build sustainable bball success. Give me a plan that includes helping improve the bball iq in the state, a motion offense, and a staff that specializes in finding gems.

I'd disagree with enthusiasm waning in the stands
Admittedly, I could be wrong about this.

Every coach should be given a 4-5 window,
Typically, I would agree with this, especially if the AD who hired the coach is still in place. Change at the AD position may impact this, maybe it will not.

after that decisions must be made
Absolutely.

Yes.

I remember when I saw those Anthony Grant commercials with him walking in a suit after he was hired.
That was fun.

Avery is running Grant's offense with better players. It's so painful at times.

This is why you can't afford to lose games to trash teams like UCF and Ole Miss.

I remember when we hired Hobbs. I wasn't happy. I've been pretty happy with the other hires though

Some bball coaches are flaky, they'll turn down more money. Boone Pickesn was willing to throw the bank at Bill Self and OSU was his alma mater!
Eric Musselman might end up at Arizona the way things are going. Hurley brothers are about to go to big time programs .

Well, I have been voted "Friendliest" Bama poster 2 years running.
I have the certificates hanging on the wall in my padded room.

I can't believe our dumbass Johnny Jones clone is going to choke away the tournament for the 3rd year in a row. Even worse when it's with a lottery pick. God he sucks.
Posted on 2/24/18 at 9:06 pm to Bryant91092
Without counting situations like Michael Porter Jr. where a guy gets hurt and misses all or most of the season, how many lottery picks have ever come from non-tournament teams?

Well, we made fun of LSU so that's one

Fultz and Dennis Smith last year.
Simmons and Chriss the year before.

If we play our cards right, we can hire Fred Hoiberg once he gets fired from Bulls.
