We haven't played Arkansas yet

I know this wont matter if we get to 19 but just in case we get stuck at 18 Vandy,Lipscomb, and Memphis are all sneaking closer to being in the top 100 in RPI

I was thinking of the UGA loss

Yep and don't be shocked if Lipscomb wins their conference tournament. I feel good about the remaining home games, Arkansas is bad on d and bad on road... Florida is really struggling as well. We've put together 4 straight solid efforts , the miss st game was there for the taking and today was a tough matchup down low. I still believe we steal 1 more road win .

Bama wins yesterday if we make 5 more RT's then missed and we grab 5 more defensive rebounds that UK got on the their offensive side.

frutrating thing about Sat is besides the last 4 minutes, we didn't play bad. We shot poorly during some stretches but didn't take a ton of bad shots. Turnovers were limited until late which was nice.
Hopefully, they learned a little something.
On to the Plains.
Who is the idiot that said Aub -6 was easy money?

I didn't say it, but I thought it. South Carolina is garbage.

Road games against even shite teams can be dicey. Any team can get hot, some favorable officiating and upset a team who comes out flat.
I mean Aub upset UK in 2016 playing 2 walk-ons on an already shitty AF team

What does Auburn do in the low post now?

There won't be a huge drop-off going from Anfernee to Horace Spencer. We trust both guys a lot.
Where this will impact AU is depth. We only have a 3man rotation now in the post which includes a 6'3 player. What makes it worse is that Horace Spencer is a foul machine
I'd expect Bruce to go for broke with the small ball lineup at times and play 4 guards and be a matchup nightmare. Mustapha Heron/Malik Dunbar are both 6'5/6'6 220lb and athletic. I guess we hope that stretching opponents and athleticism pay off

I'd expect we'd use a lot of Key and Herb against AU. Two tall guys that can defend the perimeter but also attack the basket above the rim.

Andy Kennedy just stepped down effective immediately. Tony Madlock will be the interim coach

Have an upvote. People hated on me when I said Bola and even Jimmy Taylor would be missed.
They weren't starter quality or studs, but they gave quality veteran post minutes.
Bola was a huge loss, and I feel like most fans that weren't hung up on his easy misses at the rim knew that. I don't really miss Taylor, because I feel like his absence has really allowed Hall to flourish. Giddens has been a disappointment thus far, but the hate he gets is a bit extreme. He's shown flashes of potentially being a great post player. He does have an issue with fouling, but he has also been shite on by officials as well because he doesn't fall down or get backed down. If he'd fall down when helping at the rim he'd probably drop a foul a game
When at least one player ends up on their arse at the end of a drive a foul is going to get called the heavy majority of the time. If one of those players is not a defender the offense will get the call 100% of the time.
It's the curse of being a physically superior big that won't dive for a call. Makes me wish the coaches would teach him how to fall down and look less intimidating.

Bola was terrible.
People give Giddens a hard time and he's twice the player that Bola was.

Playing them at the 4? Those are the guys (as an AU fan) I'd most like to see getting minutes at the 4.
AU's smaller post defenders compensate by being hyper-aggressive, fronting "bigger/longer" post players and denying entry passes. That is an extremely taxing style from an energy perspective. With only 3 post players now, it will be extremely difficult for them to stay fresh + not commit lazy fatigue fouls.
On top of all that, AU has really struggled rebounding against length. Especially length that's adept at tipping offensive rebounds to teh backcourt, as AU is forced to crash the boards hard to compensate for size disadvantage (AU players aren't in position to get tip outs)
If I were the Bama coach, the way I'd attack Auburn would be to march out PF Hall/C Giddens and go for late shot clock looks after aggressively posting up for the beginning of the clock. Bama would then likely have a huge offensive rebounding advantage which would only amplify this
The amount of energy wasted by the 3 AU defenders would make them extremely limited on the offensive end and likely useless in the 2H, either in foul trouble or too tired.
