Me too. Really sad. Then, in all likelihood, really angry.

It's understandable for this team to be up and down. There is ZERO excuse for this team to miss the NCAA Tournament.

I don't see what game in November and December was impressive from this team.

I thought we played really well at Arizona. Probably the best we played in our pre-SEC schedule.

I figured we'd lose last night, but I really hate the WAY we lost. It started with that 3 by Sexton while down 2 or 3. Next trip down we had a well executed set play, Key just missed the 3. Hard to fault that other than to ask why we were settling for 3-point shots down 4 points with over a minute left in the game. Then that absolutely stupid shot by Petty the next possession. And you could see it coming from a mile away the way he was moving without the ball. Dumb, dumb, dumb. I turned it off after that.

You guys think we can finish 18-13?

Also, why hasn't Reese gotten much PT? I saw him play last night, but not for long. I thought he was playing well TBH. I also don't know if it's a confidence issue or just not his shot, but Petty has had enough space to dribble inside the paint and pull up for a jumper. Instead of just sitting back and trying to drain 3s, step up and hit a jumper. At the very least, it'll build some confidence and then progress to shooting from beyond the arc.

Didn't see it posted, but I'm sure we're all glad to celebrate Coleman Coliseum turning 50

Can we just play double headers on Saturdays the rest of the way? Mid-week games are killing us!

Yea, even with all the ups and downs I think 18-13 is attainable and probably the most likely outcome.

At that point we'll need to win at least 1 game in the SECT IMHO or be at serious, serious risk of losing out for any number of reasons (losing conference record including SECT, bid stealers, our overall # of losses putting us below similar RPI teams, etc).

I think Key playing better has kept him in the game longer, stealing minutes from Reese.

It also appears we've gone to less rotations overall. Until last night, Smith hadn't played much and probably played so much last night because of Hall's injury and Giddens's foul trouble.

The puzzling thing to me is how bad Jones has been since the Oklahoma game. I thought he was the MVP of that game, and just hasn't looked good at all since.

I think 18W should be enough to get you in, but it would be relying on your OOC to finish strong.

Fortunately for Bama though, AU/RI/Zona have only improved their standing since the matchup. As a Zona fan though, I'd worry because they've had some shaky outings even before the UWash loss

aTm beats Auburn. I guess that was the better outcome for us because it keeps aTm in Q1

It also means aTm is probably close to early season form when they were hell on wheels. Just in time for our visit to College Station.

We just got to protect our home floor the rest of the way and we are good.

They are getting back into form but theyll never be hell on wheels for a few reasons

1- Kennedy is their coach
2- They won't shoot 50% 3FG again
3- PG TJ Stark looks promising but a FR and Even in a great night had wtf moments

In a game where AU didn't have their leading scored + TAMU shot 55%, +11 rebound, hit 2 more 3FG They still won by 1 on a controversial call

TAMU had brought their best game in a long time and still barely pulled it off

If we beat Tennessee Saturday we will have 5 top 20 RPI wins......thats got to be enough to get in with 18 wins.

Texas A&M was always going to be a bad matchup for Auburn. They'll be better than the team we played in December, but I will have to see more from them to think they're back to early season form.

Vanderbilt who was #1 in SOS at 19-15 was seeded #33 overall. So there were 13 at-large spots still available. Unless we had terrible luck with bid stealers, I think we'd get in at 18-14. Our strength of schedule would be top 5, and we have plenty of quality wins with mediocre but not awful losses.

Gene, what was the controversial call? I saw where Rod Bramlett was raising hell about it but it didn’t elaborate what exactly happened.

RealtimeRPI predicts us to be 19-12 with the #2 SOS.
