Oh I know, I respect it when you get heated. That's what fans who want and expect better should always do

We all just badly want this thing to work, and we're jaded by past situations like this that collapsed, and at times we see this one going waaaaayyyy too similarly to those.

I mean, it's going exactly similar to the last decade aside from us stealing a W in Gainesville. If not for that we'd be pretty much done right now. If we lose to UTk on Saturday we will be on life support.

And, we missed a lot of the open corner 3 looks we got

Where do we find some players that don't miss a lot of open corner 3s?

The sad thing is we get a ton of great looks on them too.

Alabama basketball is one of my favorite teams, but I'm almost to the point of completely cutting ties. I don't want to feel like this anymore.

Am I remembering correctly that Ingram shot a pretty good percentage from 3 last year? He can't hit anything other than layups this year.

We will lose a close one to Tennessee, beat LSU badly to get everyone back to thinking this team won't disappoint them but it will be a lie, then we will achieve our typical moral victory in Rupp before losing @Auburn and choking at home against Arkansas. Then we will beat Florida again and put ourselves in a position where we can get at least on the right side of the bubble with a win @aTm. Our final regular season game will be a 77-53 loss in College Station. This is Bama basketball and I fricking hate it.

I think the bigger problem is shot selection. Petty throws up at least 2 or 3 a game where he's off balance and/or is heavily contested. Sexton gets cocky once or twice a game and throws one up he shouldn't, usually with a man in his face. Ingram shouldn't be shooting 3's to begin with.

Petty finally hits one in the second half tonight, and anyone that's watched Bama basketball this year knew he was jacking one up next time down the floor. Sure enough, he throws up annoff balance one that barely touches iron.

I love that we have players not scared to shoot, but there has to be a middle ground from the Grant years where they were all scared to death to shoot.

I agree with all of this except the Alabama thing to do would be to beat Tennessee handily then lose to LSU.

Better than expected.

Yeah shot selection absolutely plays a role, but even then better than 14% should be expected. I mean Auburn's guys take a fair number of ill-advised 3s, and they make a lot more than 14% of them.

Is simply making the tournament this year a success? I’m ok with that, especially after seeing all season how fricking schizophrenic this young team is. Next year when these freshman become sophomores the expectation has to be more than just making it.

I think so, yes. If we sneak in and lose in Dayton I might hedge on that a bit, but generally I think so.

I just don't want Avery to throw it in our face like Gottfried did with that elite 8 run

My biggest gripe this year, and I've had a lot, is that are we really any better than we were game one? I just don't see the improvement.
