In 3 years with Avery

Year 1
Ingram gets hurt for the year
Top recruit in our class Kobie Eubanks never enrolls

Year 2
Five star Terrance Ferguson fall commit ends up going overseas
Four star transfer Nick King has some bizzare illness that ends his season

Year 3
Top 3 recruit is ineligible
Top returning scorer tears his meniscus right before the season

If Sexton never plays, that'll be three years in a row Avery's top commitment never plays a second of basketball for us.

Watch us get Anfernee Simons in recruiting somehow, and then his former ties to Louisville will get him suspended.

If we hadn't had what I posted above happen, we could be looking at a 3rd straight tourney appearance.

When Dazon was healthy, we looked pretty good in 15-16. Add in any depth, which that team really lacked, with Eubanks, and I think we beat Arkansas and Miss State to end the season to get in.

16-17 a go to scorer like Ferguson instead of Corban Collins gets us in.

17-18 have to see, but without Sexton and Key I don't see us making the tournament. Just without Sexton would've been tough enough.

I had meniscus surgery at 31 years old and I was back to normal and at work in 2 weeks.....but im not an athlete so I would probably say SEC play.

Didnt AJ McCarron play with a torn meniscus one year??

Sounds like Riley,Key, and Sexton are gonna be out for Memphis. Man, we just have the worst luck.

No wonder we looked like shite. Up until 8 hours ago, the game plan went through Sexton.

Maybe when we get Norris back, we'll have some more consistency. He's not going to make up for the loss of Key, but his leadership could pay dividends. Hopefully he's not as streaky of a shooter, but I doubt it.

It really sucks to lose 4 guys for the opener, but I think we still have a very good starting 5. We just don't have depth anymore, and it will throw off continuity for a while. The game plan might have to change a bit.

Memphis doesn't have a whole lot of size. We might try to out muscle them with this lineup

Dazon
Petty
Herb
Giddens
Hall

We have absolutely no depth on the wing. Even Armond is hurt.

We're gonna really need Herb to come through in a big way.

With surgery, typically 3-4 weeks for full recovery. In some cases you can see them back sooner.

freshmen are going to be inconsistent, so don't get down on them too early.

Ingram missed a couple of days of practice and that was it. These athletes have much stronger muscles to support the knees. I went back to work the next day after meniscus surgery, but it didn't feel right for a good while. The doctors will say about a 3 week recovery.

I gave myself a night to sleep on it and calm down...and I could totally still punch Kobie Baker in the face right now.

I'll try not to, but Petty and Herb combined for 67 minutes last night so it'll be hard

How long do you think Collin waits for his eligibility to be reinstated before he withdraws from UA?

Fandom aside, is it better for him to try to go play overseas if there’s no word on his eligibility by Christmas?

I don’t see the NCAA moving quickly on this.

It depends on what they found. Since we have no idea, any speculation is worthless.
