I recall some very questionable refereeing to end that game

Giddens was good, but against a DII team, bigs should always look good.

How sad was the Grant era that I completely blanked on that team making the NCAAT

he was aggressive and played with his back and face to the basket...we've played bad teams every year and haven't had a big do that in a while from my recollection. I'm not crowning him the next Demarcus Cousins but he looks the part which is something we haven't had in a while

Pretty sad. Just think when that season started we had losing streak to LSU in football. That's how long ago it was that we made the tournament.

Yea, I liked what I saw from him. He's a physical presence with what looks like really good athleticism.

He was definitely a positive. One other positive is that we more or less shut down Ward in the second after he torched us in the first. Good adjustment by the coaching staff. Herb's length instantly makes him a pretty good on ball defender.

That was pretty ugly. It also looked like Key had a large brace on his knee when he stretched his legs on the bench. He was hobbling big time. We will lose Friday unless we get 2 of Key, Sexton, and Norris back.

I was hoping they were holding out Key as a precaution. Shoot. Hopefully we get an update soon. Still rustled they kept us in the dark on Sexton.

All the young guys looked good...its just that our upperclassmen don't progress at all. I just have no faith in Ingram.

Why does this picture look like it's from a video game?

Don't think we beat Memphis with three starters out unless we have a total offensive transformation. We always seem to struggle mightily to score. Hope Petty finds his groove.

Yeah, just a hack on the arm of Trevor Releford attempting a 3 pointer, in which the ball didn't even touch the front of the rim.

Yeah, he always has that poor of a shot.

fricking refs. Bama should have had 3 free throws for the win.

So what was the final score and what the hell is the status on Sexton?

Auburn 95
Barry University 100

Sexton should be ruled eligible soon, but man this makes the beginning of the season annoying.

We won 74-65.

As far as Sexton goes we don't know. He's out for now, but it's clear that Byrne and Avery believe (or at least want us to believe) he will get reinstated. Sexton didn't seem too upset on the bench, and he's a guy that wants to play. That could be a good sign.

Avery said Sexton's status changed in the "last 8 hours"

Said they "received new information" that resulted in Sexton being declared ineligible

Braxton is going to have surgery for a torn meniscus tomorrow.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but a torn meniscus probably means he'll be out until conference play.
