Bryce brown just went off against miss state and I think he killed us last year. Herron and spencer can light it up too. I think we can win but we just have been really bad covering good 3 point shooters this season. Can't allow that

Obviously you're hoping for that as an AU fan, but I just drove to work in Hoover and the roads were great, as good as any other day. Heard this morning that the trip from Bham to Tuscaloosa was good to go as well. So I think it'll be a solid crowd.

It is a different story in other parts of the state. In Montgomery, all on ramps to the interstate are physically closed by the PD. US231 is impassible between Wetumpka and Montgomery, ain't nobody even thinking about trying to clear the smaller feeder roads and there are wrecks everywhere.

I legitimately hope nobody from anywhere around, say, south and east of Chilton county even tries to make it to the game. It just isn't worth the risk.

I got no shame in admitting that I'd prefer loss hostile road environments

There is always the risk that the melt freezes back over when the sun + temp goes down though.

While you're probably right that there will still be a "solid crowd" I still imagine quite a few people don't make it, even if roads are safe, because they've just accepted being "snowed in."

Heard from a buddy that has a really good inside the program friend that we may get Hall back for some limited minutes. I think the key is obviously defending the 3 pt line on D and pounding them inside on O, as Auburn is undersized. As good as Auburn is going fast, we need to slow the game down. Not sure if we'll actually do that, but they'll beat us if its a high speed game.

my parent live just outside of town and I think they are bailing. A 20 minute drive on possibly icy roads with a game on tv? can't blame them.

Bryce Brown is just as likely to go 1-8 as 5-8 3FG. It's honestly a roll of the dice with him + the etam. AU has some 5-6 games of shooting sub ~30% 3FG

Herron and spencer can light it up too

Herron has been in a funk all year. He has the occasional good game, but his 3FG% is down 10% (>40% to ~30%) and has really struggled in all aspects this year. That said, he is good enough to have a 20+ point game at any time

Spencer would be a surprise to be an offensive difference maker. Most of his points/contributions are hustle, aggressive post defense/steals and put backs. While he has developed a decent skyhook/post up game, he isn't a weapon

The guy not listed that is a difference maker is DeSean Murray. While he is only a 6'3 PF, he is crafty AF. Murray is unbelievable strong & athletic at ~235lb and a very skilled interior post player

Murray drives very effectively for a stretch 4, draws fouls + shoots FTs well, is one of the top offensive and defensive rebounders in conference play, has a lot of steals.

So I'll leave it up to ya'll on this, during the game I like asking questions about how opposing fans perspective + feelz about the flow of the game etc doing my best to to not ruffle feathers

Last year I only made a few posts just asking questions about players/plays :

If ya'll want me to make like a tree, I'll stay away. Up to ya'll.

I’m fine with it. I’m sure someone will end up snapping at u during the game if we’re losing, bc we usually are at each other’s necks the whole game but we’ll all be friends again after the game lol

You are more than welcome to join in. We will all be either :

(a) complaining about how terrible we are or

(b) anticipating when we will stop playing well and start playing terrible

Feeling AU will win 86-82. Most of my predictions suck though.

With Hall likely out, limited at best, I would think AU would win by 10+

So I am expecting Auburn to lose 10+. My gut feelings always end up leading me wrong regarding basketball

Reese and Smith sort of took Hall's place against State and played pretty well, and who knows maybe this will be the night Key starts shooting better. I think Reese and Smith will be good players down the road. We better just not let them out work us tonight. Aubie fights to get rebounds. We cant let them play harder than us. Do we need to send saban down to the dressing room before the game to melt the paint off the walls?

Cecil Hurt said Donta Hall is a gametime decision for some availability during the game.

And he also said Sexton isn’t warming up and is injured. Will be a gametime decision

After many years of watching this same song and dance over and over and over again, I have no idea why I even give a shite anymore. If a bad thing can happen to Alabama basketball, it will happen, and not only will it happen but it will happen at the worst possible time it could happen.
