I'm interested in who will be the other CB in base defense opposite Milliner. Most of what I've read has indicated Belue, but it looked like it was Fulton to me on A-Day.

It'll be Belue.

Honestly I think Fulton will play in Nickel, but if Dixon has caught on more by the time the season starts, Fulton may be a Dime guy. Fulton has been here a while, but his talent isn't close to Belue's, AND Belue is far ahead of where he should be at this point in the learning curve of Saban's defense.

Milliner and Fulton will play outsides and Belue will play the nickel or slot corner like menzie. Also that's where belue played in juco. If Dixon improves he will simply be the 3rd or 4th corner and all 4 will play depending on the situation. Alabama is way too situational to say anyone is a starter except for positions that are always on the field. Milliner and Fulton will be the "starters" though.

They're common. There were some schools that tried to get them factored into to Title IX.

From what I saw on A-day, it's going to be a competition between Belue and HCD for who gets on the field in nickel. There were times when we brought in Belue and he played Star, there were other times when Vinnie played Star and HCD came in to take his place at safety. It'll be Belue and HCD in dime. I don't see Dixon playing significantly this year which is why I'd like to see him redshirt if he has one available.

I hope we do red shirt Dixon just because if milliner leaves its going to be scary how inexperienced we will become after he's gone. He and Lester are basically the reason we may have a top 3 defense. Not worried about the front 7 at all. It's the secondary that gives up the big play.

Will Reggie Ragland see a decent amount of playing time this season as a 2nd string ILB?

Belue and HCD for who gets on the field in nickel

It will likely be Milliner & Fulton at the "traditional" corners. It's probable that Sunseri will play the "money" and HCD will play one of the safeties.

Belue will be in situationally and possibly in the nickel depending on HCD's & Fulton's development.

I'm expecting a breakout year from HCD. He looked good at A-day and is the prototype safety, ballhawk with first round athleticism.

I won't be surprised if it's him and lester on the back end in nickel with sunseri playing close to the line of scrimmage with mosley at LB

something like: Hubbard, williams, square, stinson
Mosley, Sunseri
Milliner,belue,HCD,Lester,Fulton

The size up front will make that package tough to run on and the speed in the back 7 will make it tough to pass on. I think we'll see this grouping a lot on 2nd-3rd and 8+ and against teams that aren't committed to trying to run the ball.

I'm not worried about our defense, they're second to none in talent and depth and should be even better next year

Will be absolutely shocked if he doesn't commit to bama...not crazy about him but he is a good ball player and it will be a nice middle finger to craig and co.

Besides the projected starters at Linebacker--CJ Mosley, Trey Depriest, Nico Johnson, Adrian Hubbard who else will get playing time? I know Xzavier Dickson will be in the rotation.. who else do you see getting playing time at LB?

I'd rather have Mack or VHIII but both are probably long shots. Take White now, and if we make up ground on 1 of the others later in the cycle, find room for him.
