Over 250 yards now for Jalen Hurd and what looks to be the winning TD run as Beech gets the ball back with a minute left, up 7

How much do y'all think Pittsburghs' season plays a role in Robert Fosters recruitment?

If they only win 3 or 4 games I would say that would make a difference. They did beat Virginia Tech yesterday though.

I don't think it plays a big part unless the wheels fall off. Most kids lose plenty of games in HS.

Even a team like auburn will hang on to most of their recruits unless the losses turn into a coaching change. JMHO

Any updates on how Tyren Jones has played the past couple of weeks?

Tyren had 35 carries for 181 yards and a TD in a loss in his last game.

ehh..I see DE in DW's future. 265 pound freshmen should be 290 pounders when they leave the capstone. Hell Stinson was 6'4" 250 in when he got to bama and he's a monster now. Allen will be a monstrous, MONSTROUS jack though

So any news on some of the major recruits still uncommitted? How are we looking...any visits upcoming with any of the following?

Derrick Henry is supposed to visit this Sat but what about...?

Laremy Tunsil - UGA Fla Bama battle Im reading

Antonio Connor - Ole Miss lean?

Vonn Bell - Think he goes to Ohio State

Alvin Kamara - waiting on Henry to decide?

Kendall Beckwith - LSU Lean?

Robert Foster - Does Pitt lead?

Havent heard anything on Matthew Thomas in a while...I think he stays south tho

UGA/Bama battle, many feel he is going to follow henry to bama, they're close
quote:

Antonio Connor - Ole Miss lean?

No idea on him, his recruitment has been quiet..most expect an ole miss/bama/state battle

Vonn Bell - Think he goes to Ohio State

me too, or maybe UT
quote:

Kendall Beckwith - LSU Lean?

likely, don't think the staff sees him as one of the top few left on the board...a take if some others go elsewhere basically

I think bama leads, especially with the dumpster fire at pitt, he could be a signing day announcement though

I'm tempted to go ahead and start a 2014 thread even though we only have one commit, just to post this next tidbit, but I'll wait for the time being.

File this in the "TIFWIW" category.

There are some screenshots floating around of a supposed private chat that J Lee held that was invite only. I don't know if they are legit or not, but they certainly read as legit. Who knows...

Any way according to the screenshots Racean "Rock" Thomas is a silent 100% commitment to AU right now and he's doing a "slow burn" with Alabama so his name can still be out there during his senior year and get commits to come to AU.

I will not post the screenshots, but they were tweeted earlier today. Search for a guy named @DestinJayBird. A guy later says it's fake and a joke.

I'll LMAO if a AU fan went to that kind of trouble just have news that Rock is a silent AU commit.

If one of you recruitniks wants to start a 2014 recruiting thread, go for it. I'll sticky it. Just make sure you're ready to keep up with the OP over the next year or so as commits come in.

According to the AJC and other sources, Vonn Bell named a top 3 of Ohio State, Tennessee, and Bama (in no order). He'll take official visits to each and his coach thinks he'll decide sometime after the visits but before the Under Armor all star game.

To expand a little on Tyren Jones, I attended Walton's last two games:

-Walton is very unbalanced and run Tyren too much. Teams know this and stack 9-10 in the box and Walton still runs Jones
-Teams and Coaches say Jones is the Walton team so he is the focal point of the defenses
-Walton had a 4th & 6 late in the 3rd Quarter during the last game. They handed the ball off to Jones who broke 3 tackles but only gained 5 yards
-Our QB commit on Walton has struggled this season including throwing a pick 6 in their game against North Cobb last week. Just being honest (some people prefer sunshine pumping instead of the truth) the kid is probably the 7th-8th best QB in Cobb County. I've been informed that he is currently being re-evaluated by the staff based on his performances thus far in 2013
-Walton is 1 of the least talented defenses in the state in terms of speed, athleticism. Tyren will have to carry this team almost every week.

Could be. His measurables are almost identical to OJ Howard's. That article seems a little over the top though. Not every big, fast athlete makes a good WR.

Someone posted the screenshot on the rant yesterday, I laughed my arse off at the fans comments. Even if it were true (doubt it) rock isn't a need with the guys in this cycle and Bo. LF is still very much in play too, and I'd take him over thomas

2014 LSU commit and 5 star prospect LB Kain Daub has transferred to Sandalwood, home of Bama commit DeMarcus Walker.

He's considered by some to be the nation’s top linebacker recruit in the Class of 2014.

Good stuff. Daub was interested in Bama and had planned on camping at Bama before he committed to LSU. Maybe Walker can lean on him a little.
