if lacy either leaves for the nfl or is unable to continue due to injury, who does that leave us on the roster as a true running backing in the mold we like, the all purpose guy. Yeldon is likely to bulk up more and be special, able to run between the tackles or bounce it outside. fowler is more of a specialty/power guy and will be out of eligibility before too long, hart is a scat back/slot reciever, who knows what drake is because you never hear about him, and sims is working at QB. with no lacy we have 1 all purpose back on the team (yeldon). not sold on henry as a true running back cause i think hes gonna get even more huge, switch to hback or d eventually. i think we need both tenpenny and jones, take or leave henry.

Has anything definite come out on this? I'm hoping it was nothing serious like an ACL.

dont think its like that, he was running at practice, looked a little gimpy between reps though. just a sprain. personally i think lacy wont be back next year because he will be in the nfl, not because he will be injured

Hold up, Hart is no scat back/slot reciever and you havent seen him used like that. Saban was just talking about Drake the other day and said he would more than likely be used sometime this season. Never even put Sims in the mix. With Lacy next year we will have 3 all purpose backs already on the roster with fowler as FB/HB and late game situations. Thats why I say take Jones and Henry. Jones gives us a for sure RB and then Henry gives us the option to move him if it doesnt work out.

well to be fair, nobody has seen him used as anything in a game, so we dont really know what he will be, but he is quite small still to pound it between tackles (5'9 190) game in and game out. i hope im wrong and that he is an every down guy, but until i see it i think he is a 3rd down kinda guy.

Dude there is nothing small about being 5'9 and close to 200 pounds. Ray Rice is like 205 I think. In the spring games we ran him between the tackles.

and if hart was 205 i would not say he was small. the official roster lists him at 190. thats 15 lbs difference. mark ingram was 5'9 and 215 when he played for us, 25 lbs difference for the same height. also, ray rice is 5'8 212.

If you haven't seen the last few pages of the au recruiting thread, you are missing some great entertainment. TT's speaks the truth and they all freak out.

You don't know TT very well. He runs around like an old lady screaming the sky is falling when there's adversity, or AU is losing. His meltdowns are well known. He is also swayed by other posters easily when he doesnt trust his own judgment. He could change his mind 3-5 times in a thread on some occasions. You will see. Nothing he has written has any proof behind it. If its the truth could you please provide it, since TT can't. I'll be over in the Auburn thread waiting. TIA

Rocky, in case you don't remember, I am the one that keeps bringing up his recruiting meltdown last year. I remember the meltdown but I feel he is being truthful here and I would feel the same way if it was Bama.

Who TT's?

He fly's off the handle all the time. I am still waiting for concrete proof. I really don't think the "I talked to my buddy" is going to cut it for such serious charges. No one can deny the NCAA thoroughly investigated many areas during the Cam issue. They found nothing, but some secondaries on Trooper. I just want solid proof before I will not respond to such accusations by opposing fans, or AU fans.

I've heard all of the speculation/innuendo about Trooper (Tigerette Whores, has an illegitimate child, etc) from students at Auburn, but never have heard it preached as fact, and I've never heard anything about Luper sending Tigerettes to hang out with recruits until TTs brought it up last night.

Now, I do know that recruits/football players are hanging out at fraternity houses, etc. But that's expected for the most part. It's easier to "be protected" in a fraternity house, especially since most of them hire their own security during parties.
