Rewatched that game this wknd. I had forgotten how completely Bama dominated a very good Florida team in all phases. Hopefully a staff shake up is coming and a return to dominating the opponent with it.

This is a random thread but the 2009 SEC title game is a top 3 game of the Saban era for me.

Bama did dominate in that game, but there were quite a few games where Alabama did not dominate that year (Tennessee, LSU, Auburn). The difference is the team won because of coaching and determination and not talent alone. I miss the days when all the players were loyal to the program.

I was there and it was glorious! Watching Tebow fall apart on the Jumbotron

I remember watching GMac hop down the side line on one leg for a 1st down... And the UF defender get frustrated because he could have drilled Greg but thought he was OB and didn't want the personal foul

The 2009 SECCG was very similar to the 1993 Sugar Bowl in that the talent disparity was closer than the experts thought, the defending champs were not quite as good overall as the year before, the coaching staffs did some of the best work of their careers, and Alabama was the hungrier team after a long championship drought.

'92 defense had 7 1st Team All SEC and 4 1st Team All Americans on it.

The 10rc game was fine until Ingram fumbled late in our territory.

We were up 12-3 and running the clock out when he fumbled on first down.
