Stupid to pick captains pre-season. That honor is earned.
You can still have a leadership council, hopefully lead by your starting QB, but how ridiculous would it be seeing a guy benched halfway through the season getting his handprints at Denny Chimes? If you're getting paid $10 million, at least get the common sense, easy stuff right.

Our “captains” going into the season should not have been in doubt but like most women, he thought he could change him.

Captains are not made. They are chosen by their teammates. Head coaches just acknowledge what is already known.
