Does this fall solely on the offensive coordinator not having a hot route or does it fall on the qb? I would assume as good as Bryce is, he can pick it up and audible to a hot route.

Whatever happened to the screen pass? Great way to negate an all out blitz.

Yep. Bootleg rollouts, draws, shovel pass, etc help counterattack aggressive defensive schemes, but we haven't seen much of them either.

I'm praying we are saving these for Georgia.

But I'm not confident.

It depends. Not sure how much BOB is putting on Bryce's shoulders. Some QBs have that assignment, some get the call from the sideline before the snap.

Normally, they are built in to the pass plays. It is a communication thing as well as a recognition thing on both QB and WR part. Similar to whether the defense plays zone or man and the WR route adjusts accordingly, keep running or throttle down in the window. I have no clue why we don’t. Screens are another way to slow the rush, especially to the RB. We ran them a couple of times to Najee in the title game last year. Tunnel and/or jailbreak screens to WRs would be nice as well.

I'm betting BOB and Bryce perfectly execute against /destroy the Golding delayed Safety blitz every time in practice... wish that other teams would add that blitz package to their D schemes.

It's in some of the schemes. Specifically thinking of the play where Arky brought a CB blitz from the boundary and Bryce threw it to metchie but was tipped from the CB who was blitzing.

I'll say this.. did we start seeing some stuff incorporated little by little after bye week? It's almost like it feels like BOB is delibrate with his playcalling. I think we'll see some wrinkles against Auburn... if we do, that confirms that it was planned all along.
