I'm very happy Eddie Jackson is seeing time at safety. He needs to be moved there completely. He'll be a better NFL prospect at that position as well.

I think this says more about Coker than Cornwell. To think Coker still doesn't have the job locked down and people were begging for him to start for us last season.

For real, can't imagine how much better Stafford could have been had he been coached by someone like Cutcliffe or Sanders.

I think a little of both. I think Cornwell is really good, but I think that Coker just doesn't have "it".

Really want Cornwell to get snaps this season. He's the future for us at QB.

i think im more excited about Barnett at this point. all reports i've heard on him have been very positive, he's just skinny.

it'll be very interesting to see how Cornwell/Barnett battle it out over the next few years.

Cornwell is a better QB than Barnett and has the size already.

Definitely. Would be amazing if both had their chance here, but one will probably have to transfer.

I like Cornwell's arm and size a little bit more, I like his mechanics more. I like Barnett's athleticism and pocket presence a little bit more, I like his swagger more.

I think both have good attitudes. They were leaders in their recruiting classes, I think we've got two young stars at QB on the roster.

I'd rather have Cornwell win it, since that would finally give us a brief period of QB stability.

went back and watched some of his junior and senior highlights, reminded me of why i was so excited when he committed. prototypical nfl size, a release that is as quick and compact as barnett's is long, cutler like arm strength (throwing 40+ yard ropes across his body while running). ive always been on team cornwell, hope he can step up and win the job this year (and stay healthy. he might already be the starter if he hadnt torn his acl and gotten some other injuries)

i am gonna wait until A-day before i jump on Team Cornwell. I think he's got the talent, just not sure how well he can run the offense.

what do you guys think this offense will have in the way of red zone targets? most of the receivers are pretty thin; not sure that any of them are overly physical. OJ is one possibility. Not sure if we have someone who can catch the ball out of the backfield like fowler. I guess Kiffin will come up with something.

Maybe Falkins could learn to catch I thought I've read somewhere that Rob Foster has put on some good weight.

I love Cam Sims in that role when healthy. 6'5" 209, though he looks 215-225.

Mix it up a little, red zone targets don't have to be big jump ball guys. I like a guy like Drake or Stewart in the lot running some nifty routes with their quickness to create separation.

Has Kief put on any weight? I haven't seen any recent pictures of him. All I remember from Falkins last year was when he dropped a ball thrown right in his hands by Coker. Hope he can get it together because we may need him as a red zone target with Cam Sims injured.

Speaking of putting weight on and the aforementioned QB battle, it'll be interesting to see if Barnett can make some waves during the Summer and Fall camp. We list him at an even 200, I'll say he's anywhere from 190-205 right now. He obviously won't get to where he needs to be, but if he could get to a legit 215 by the time fall camp roles around he may have a chance to really compete if Coker or Cornwell haven't secured the job yet.

I guess a better phrasing is has he put on enough weight. He was skinny as hell last year.

Maybe Kief has. Hump is up to 192, so the youngsters put in the work in the weight room if that is any indication.
