I will say this- there have been several balls this year by both Braves and their opponents that off the bat looked like absolute no doubters and they fell harmlessly on the track for outs.

definitely.

Usually when you hear that 'knock' off the bat sound, you know it's gone and I've heard that several times on balls that landed right at the track. Braves have also been on the fortunate side of that plenty.

You can feel it as a hitter too. It’s also why I give acuña a break for trotting in the playoff game. They for sure went back to dead balls during the playoff that year.

Snitker pre game yesterday:

"He (Acuna) was going to play 9 innings for AAA so why not play for us"

N O S H I T !

Different vibe in that dugout last night.

Definitely a confident vibe last night.
More runs are gonna be scored.
K.Wright didn't have his best stuff, however he showed he has now matured into a frontline type ace.

Albies down to .200 (Dansby up to .220 for perspective ooof) and of course Duvall down to .188

I like Adam, but the dude lives on slump mode. I don't like the style of player that is useless 90% of the time

These young pitchers get their shot at the bigs, and blow it refusing to challenge hitters in the strike zone. FVCK THAT. Had I been blessed with that kind of talent and had a chance to break into the show I'm not giving anything away. Here's the stuff that got me here- hit it if you can mfer

Far too many free pass walks last couple games by Elder/Muller. No defense against that nonsense.
Big early season 4 game series in New York tomorrow night.

Are our catchers the worst in baseball at pitch framing ?

I ask because it never ends that the opposing team gets every off the black strike call, and the braves cant get strikes called on the black.

Fried had Nimo struck out- ump blows the call- Fried has to throw 8 pitches and the guy ends up on base.

This is definitely a trend that goes back to last year, but its been brutal this year so far

This Bassit dude for the Mets is the most annoying pitcher I've watched in a looooong time. Dude refuses to throw the ball- batters having to step out for waiting so long

I wasn't that familiar with Jansen other than his appearances vs ATL, but a lot of the analytical types in the Dodger fanbase were happy to see him go. There was a lot of rumblings about Jansen making a fiasco out of every close opportunity, and having the fanbase on the edge of their seats a la Will Smith all of 2021.

So after reading through all that after we signed him on their forums, and then seeing his first outing which was a total shite show there was definitely a "oh shite we've given a huge amount of money to what equates to another Will Smith" knee jerk response on my part.

However, I dont understand how he was in so much trouble because since that first outing he's done nothing short of his best Mariano Rivera impression- he throws that cutter over and over and it has serious movement on it at that 91-94 MPH range, and he keeps it in the strike zone. He doesn't necessarily miss a lot of bats, but they cant square it up, and he doesn't walk anyone.

I've been really happy with his performance and his "stuff."

He had a rough week during July last year but gave up like 3 ER in his last 35 innings.

If anyone was wondering how the Braves were doing this season, the Cincinnati Reds are 3-20 and 2 of those 3 wins are against Atlanta.

Hopefully bats will soon wake up and this is not 1 of those World Series hangover type seasons.

Anderson, Fried, Wright all had quality starts in the Met series.
Strider didn't pitch in the series, so look for him to get the start Friday night vs the Brewers.
It would be encouraging if this power pitching rookie went 6 innings allowing 3 earned run or less.

Hard to imagine him making three trips through their order without a third pitch.
