Jerry Jones Goes On Profanity-Laced Rant About His Job With Cowboys
© Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports
Before signing star WR CeeDee Lamb to a four-year $136 million extension with $100 million guaranteed, Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones defended himself from the naysayers who think he shouldn't be the GM of the team...
quote:

“I’ve done it all. So I have an ordinate amount of confidence that (expletive), if anybody can figure out how to get this (expletive) done, I can figure out how to get it done,” Jones told Clarence Hill. "I’ve been there every which way from Sunday, and have I busted my (expletive) a bunch, a bunch. And there’s nobody living that’s out cutting and shooting that can’t give you a bunch of times they busted their (expletive). So hell no, there’s nobody that could (expletive) come in here and do all the contracts and be a GM any better than I can."

You really see people's real personalities when they have nothing to lose, aka owners of companies have nothing to lose, can act however they want. While employees will mask to whatever personality most benefits them.

That team wins another 5-6 Super Bowls if he had left instead of Jimmy Johnson.

He has lost his mind. They have gone 3 decades without even appearing in a Super Bowl. Has he increased value? Certainly. But are fans in it for the Super Bowls or increased value?

Heck, he has even created a STAR Complex for fans to experience but still, no Super Bowls. They are laughing at you, Jerry!!

I used to be a Cowboys season ticket holder. But, when Jerry bought the team, I stopped. The problem is the fans keep buying stuff and going to games. They won't financially punish Jerry for his ego and ineptitude. As long as people keep financially supporting the team, he will never stop.

And his recent record reflects his competence.

I'm 30, and the cowboys have been close to irrelevant for my entire football watching life. How this guy is still in charge is a joke.

Worse part is cowboy fans still support 100%. If they really wanted change they would boycott games for 2 years and force him out.

I'm a Cowboy fan and like many, I think he is way past moving on to retirement. I don't think his ego will ever let go of control unfortunately.

Based on results of his team and other teams, his statement that no one could do a better job as GM is patently false.
