Buffalo Bills QB Matt Barkley Found One Big Scary Spider In His Basement
© Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports
Remember former USC QB Matt Barkley? He's bounced around the league for the last few years only to arrive this week grabbing headlines with the scary spider he found in his basement...

And that thing is scary. I thought for a second it was fake, but no, right?

I'd quit playing football, buy a raft big enough for the whole family. Float out to sea and finish my days on earth.

Common wolf spider. Based on those glowing eyes and blood stains, it might have rabies though. I'd burn it down just in case.

Damn, we're becoming sissified. It is a wolf spider, common in every house. Fat legs, bulbous abdomen. Spider doesn't want to hurt or bite you as they are very non-aggressive. They also aren't harmful to humans, though their rare bites are somewhat painful.

Looks like a wolf spider. Venom is poisonous but not deadly.

That's just your standard South American Tarantula. Probably caught a ride up in a crate of berries. Nothing to worry about as long as they dont feel threatened.
