If former New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr returns to the NFL for the 2026 season, there’s at least one team he won't be playing for. On the latest episode of the “Home Grown with David & Derek Carr” podcast, he addressed all the rumors regarding his NFL future...
quote:

“As quarterback injuries mounted this season and into the playoffs, teams conducted due diligence on Carr, trying to gather information as to whether the former Saints franchise passer would consider coming out of retirement, sources tell The Insiders,” NFL Network reported. “That work continues, and an offseason of quarterback uncertainty — with limited options in free agency, trades and the draft — makes Carr a possible solution in the right situation.”

I’ll save him some time. He doesn’t have a chance to win a Super Bowl.

I believe Terry Bradshaw has one more good run in him?

He sure thinks highly of himself. What has he ever won?

Plenty of legitimate Super Bowl challengers will be lining up this year to kick his tires. He’s such an arse-et, is very laughable for him to even put a comment out there.

Carr might be a nice guy and even a decent QB, but he doesn't have the consistency to win a Super Bowl. He could be behind the leagues best OL and he's going to make mental mistakes.

Which is probably why he said be a backup on a team that does.

I think Minnesota should pick him up. They really screwed up hanging their title hopes on a rookie that wasn't that impressive in college.

He's just not a winner in my book. He may be nice and somewhat talented but when put next to other competitors he doesn't compare. Probably the worst thing is that his decision making is questionable during games. He broke his wrist being super aggressive at the wrong time. I hope a team takes a flyer on him and the Saints get a draft pick out of it.
