I feel like I’m the only one that thinks this will actually help them. They’re already jumping out in front of the paying your players for their likeness and promoting the players brand. It’s obvious some kids/parents see dollar signs when you see what schools always get the top athletes. You add to that a willingness to promote what they want their brand to be as they go forward and you’re going to get some kids you wouldn’t normally get due to the program being down. You add the Hollywood/celebrity aspect along with our old video guys and you may have something. I too think the video was ridiculous, but I have a feeling what it will accomplish makes it worth doing.

Some of you are idiots. This is brilliant. It should be a big competitive advantage from a recruiting standpoint and I think there are 20-30 college coaches who could get USC back to a perennial top 5-10 type program with resources like this. The problem is that Clay Helton is still their coach...

This is bad...for two reasons 1) this video as a stand alone event is amateur and bad 2) the potential is bad for cfb. The name/likeness potential that USC in connection to hollywood means easy high end dollars for recruits
