It’s both dangerous and scary but it’s usually fairly treatable. Pop got a pacemaker and mom had the cardiac ablation and both are still kicking. Prayers for you, and MILs family.

How does me wanting to underinsure my home hurt honest customers? I think I should be able to choose how much insurance I want, especially on a house with no mortgage.

My reading comprehension sucks.. I missed the whole part about it being 2 9 lb loins. I'd probably Sous vide at 140 and run it for 2 hours but those things are too big to fit in my sous vide setup.

I've absolutely done them in the sous vide, especially when we're doing a big batch and need to plate a bunch in short order. But if it's a pack or 2 I just straight up grill them (after a dry brine).

what is the point/advantage of continuing to hold at a constant temp for that long?

The length of time combined with the lower temp allows the collagen and connective tissue to break down without the meat losing moisture. I typically don't go that long especially on a cut like a tenderloin because there isn't much of that connective tissue in there to begin with and that long gives a risk of making the meat mealy and too soft. 1 - 2 hours at a little bit higher temp for a pork loin would be my preference. Lower temp on a beef tenderloin.
Think happy thoughts. Ponder life decisions that lead you to choose your path. Remember those decisions relating to why you found yourself drunk in the gutter with the torn ACL and broken collarbone and a missing kidney. Keep your chin up and swallow.

Queso blanco velveeta, diced red onion, diced jalapeños, minced garlic all in an aluminum pan on the pit offset from the fire for an hour then mix it up. Sometimes I’ll add some Jimmy dean.

I mean they’re being forced through the auction process but this isn’t new news. The auction was won by a private equity group but it’s still tied up in litigation. I’d imagine that the Venezuela situation hasn’t really hurried it along at all.

quote:

WASHINGTON, May 4 (Reuters) - The United States has extended a license that protects Venezuela-owned refiner Citgo Petroleum from creditors through June 19, ?according to a statement on the U.S. Treasury Department's website on Monday. The general license, issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, is meant to encourage investment and boost oil output in Venezuela. It also reinforces U.S. protection of Houston-based Citgo and its parent ?companies overseas, which are the crown jewels of Venezuela's foreign assets. Citgo is the eighth-largest U.S. refiner. The Reuters Power Up newsletter provides everything you need to know about the global energy industry. The previous OFAC license, issued in March, had been set to expire May 5. Citgo is expected to be taken over by Amber Energy, an affiliate of hedge fund Elliott Investment Management, following a sale order by a Delaware judge late last year as part of the court-ordered auction of its parent, PDV Holding, to pay billions ?of ?dollars to Venezuelan-linked creditors. The auction's winner still needs OFAC to sign off and the protection license to be lifted for the judge's sale order to be fully executed. Amber officials late last month promised $11 billion in investments in Citgo Petroleum ?if OFAC releases the refiner to Amber, in an opinion column that appeared on the Wall Street Journal website. The investments include adding 125,000 barrels per day ?in crude oil refining capacity at the Corpus Christi, Texas, refinery. Washington has been easing sanctions on Venezuela since U.S. forces captured President Nicolas ?Maduro in January, with the U.S. government taking control of the OPEC country's oil sales proceeds through a fund. re: Week old roof leaking...

Agree with the above. Check roof jacks and vents I’ve seen roofers completely forget to reconnect roof jacks to the pipe stand vent coming out of the house. We had a water heater vent that they pulled out and disconnected completely and left it that way, never coming back to reconnect. Flashing around dormers hips and valleys are all critical as well.
