The quarterfinals of the CFP will begin this New Year’s Eve when Miami takes on Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl. The tickets for the game are not as bad as we've seen for other games...

Yes indeed! Lots of empty seats on tv, specially in ground level suites.

As the NFL and NCAA all said it’s all about “player safety” so add an extra 4 games potentially, extra travel etc it’s all good because it’s a bigger TV contract they don’t care about the players or fans just the MONEY!!!

Not surprising. One of the flaws in the big playoff system was always fan base travel to the first games. Many fans aren't able to afford so many extra games. Unless the fan wants to spend NYE in that city.

Big stadium, far from the home bases, Aggie fans may have been overzealous and bought early and are now dumping. Perhaps the QF's should be home games for the bye teams.

Stadium sucks to watch a game in if you are above the first tier. Essentially you are just watching the game on TV.

Miami fans (of which there aren't many) would be making a second trip to Texas in 10 days with a possible two more games to come. The place will be 90% Ohio St fans, and that's with them expecting two more games. The Quarterfinals at a neutral is complete stupidity. NFL divisional round playoff games at neutral sites would be an easy ticket as well.
