During the season the AP means nothing. Besides that we all have known for decades the AP is biased. Hell, for 20 years straight Notre Dame was in the AP top 20 at the beginning of the season even when they were coming off a losing season. LSU jumping Clemson is about MONEY. LSU and bama, num 1 versus num 2, the ratings will be thru the roof, advertisements will be nearly as high as the superbowl. How many AP voters are invested in broadcasting agencies? This move was about nothing except MONEY.

he's right to the extent that we need an 8-team playoff with auto bids for conf champs. Then 3 at-large bids for other deserving teams determined by a committee of serious folks, not silly media polls. My advice to Kanell -- ignore the polls, they don't matter anymore.
