According to ProFootballTalk, after only two years at Colorado, the Buffs are retiring Shedeur Sanders' No. 2 and Travis Hunter's No. 12 jerseys. Wild...
quote:

Colorado has only given four other players the honor of having their jerseys retired in the last 90 years:

No. 24 Byron "Whizzer" White, a running back from 1935 to 1937 who went on to become a U.S. Supreme Court justice
No. 67 Joe Romig, a two-time All-American guard/linebacker who went on to become an Oxford graduate in astrogeophysics
No. 11 Bobby Anderson, an All-American quarterback/running back who served as a long-time broadcaster on the CU Football Network
No. 19 Rashaan Salaam, the first Heisman Trophy winner in Colorado history and the school's all-time single-season rushing leader

Hey, a 13-12 record with zero conference championships is quality work

Travis I can understand maybe having a few years in the NFL+being an ambassador to the program. Now Sanders? The F he do to deserve getting a number retired?

You know Deion pushed hard for this.

Darian Hagan and Kordell Stewart had superior careers in CU. This is so weird...even for Deion.

The list of previous jersey retires' is impressive. They were great players and also great at adding to their resume after they graduated. We don't know about these guys yet as they are less than 1 year from leaving school. A little too early in my opinion.
