Not only did the Los Angeles Lakers draft Bronny James, they aren't wasting time when it comes to negotiating a contract for rookie guard...
Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka raved about Bronny after the Lakers made the pick...
quote:

“Bronny is first and foremost a person of high character. And secondly, he’s a young man who works incredibly hard,” Pelinka said. “Those are the qualities we look for in drafting players and adding to our developmental core at the Lakers. He had a great draft workout with us where he displayed those qualities. In terms of his work ethic, we’ve all seen that lived out, too. He’s not a person who has ever taken shortcuts or expected or been entitled about basketball opportunities.”

Now Bron has no room to talk about “privileged” regardless of what color your skin is. This is the very true definition of not being good enough to start on your college team but yet able to skip the G-League and sign multi year deal after avenging 4 points a game.

I don’t know much about the NBA, but aren’t all of their player contracts guaranteed? I thought that was a big item that differentiated NBA contracts from NFL.

Wow! Now that's the very definition of privilege.
I hope LeBron now understands that Green is the only color that matters, not Black or White

4.8 points 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists a game is not NBA material. Drafted on last name only.

"first and foremost a person of high character. And secondly, he’s a young man who works incredibly hard" .... uh, there are thousands of players that fit these standards. Why didn't the Lakers draft them?

This is code for daddy restructured his contract so his son can get paid and make it look like the lakers really are committed to Bronny as a player.

tell me it's all about the exposure and money and you aren't worried about winning without telling me that.

"He’s not a person who has ever taken shortcuts or expected or been entitled about basketball opportunities."
