Kobe Bryant Crash Investigation Shows No Evidence Of Engine Failure

The NTSB says an initial investigation into the Kobe Bryant helicopter crash shows no outward evidence of engine failure...

The NTSB is investigating the accident, including any role that heavy fog played, and a final report isn't expected for at least a year.

A witness told the NTSB that the helicopter was flying forward and downward through the fog before it crashed right into the hillside. The witness said he saw the helicopter for one to two seconds before it hit the hill.

The helicopter's instrument panel was destroyed in the crash and most of the devices were displaced, according to the NTSB's investigative update. The flight controls were broken and suffered fire damage.

Investigators believe that since a tree branch at the crash site was cut, it appears the engines were working and rotors turning at the time of impact.

This was pilot error it appears. Sad. Seems he got confused in the fog and never looked at his instruments.

that helicopter didn't need a black box. The pilot flew it into the side of a mountain bc of heavy fog. It's not a mystery. They never should have flown in that fog. Everybody is too soft to put the blame where it belongs: kobe and the pilot.

Kobe said he and his daughter had a game and asked the pilot can he do it. Pilot was in no condition to fly that day and not in fog either. That company that owned that helicopter is bout to go under. That pilot that was flying Kobe and the rest was supposedly their best pilot and supposedly could fly in fog conditions. When police Dept grounds their helicopters in that town, that tells u something you need to pay attention. It's all on the pilot and the company. Kobe just asked can u do the job can u get us there. Kobe had nothing to do with the blame. And that copter had poor safety evaluation damn why would someone rich as Kobe allow himself and close friends and his daughter fly in that on a foggy day? Why? Just drive prepare 2 hour ahead of time and get a police escort problem would have been solved and everyone would be alive today.
