At Malik's game today, he was getting regular updates on the LSU score. They said he was smiling.

This is only the third time you've seen me predict a recruit. I don't do it unless I know. When Cory Thomas was committed to Tennessee I told y'all he was going to be a bulldog. I wasn't guessing. It was a fact. A known fact for anyone that really knew. When Leo committed to OM, I told y'all he was coming to State. There was no debate. That's where he was always going. It's amazing how you all make assumptions on kids interviews and such. Those mean nothing. Newman is going to State. His dad wants him there. His Dad looooooooves Rick Ray. I don't know why but it is the only determining factor. His dad looooooooves State. He absolutely is not considering OM or LSu. U can come back and argue but I'm not speculating. I'm not guessing. And Leo was never LSU bound until the last day. That's stupid and you're just making shite up. I don't know anything about any other recruits and don't pretend to. This isn't hearsay info from a second hand source. I'll be back here after he commits. But like the other two scenarios, I'll just be saying I told you so.

You better tell Malik that. He only talks to Simmons and Blakeney all the timeand has repeatedly told folks LSU is a serious player, so much so that recently Jerry Meyer switched his crystal ball to LSU. Pretty relevant if you ask me.

He's friends with the 2nd best player in the state of MS, who is coming to State. Did you see the only school he mentioned in the ESPN interview yesterday? He see's the improvement in State and some of our players. He's mentioned how much better Craig Sword has got with his shot & that they could become a great backcourt duo.

But for real though, if he was going to MSU, why drag out the process? Why not commit and recruit for MSU like Ben has for us? Getting Newman would lock up Rick Ray's job, if Malik and his dad love him so much why wouldn't they pull the trigger?

LSU is neutral in regards to a rivalry with state. it's clear he wants to play with a lot of talent, and State simply doesn't have that right now.
