When the Aggies Run-

aTm 13th in the conference with 121 yards per game.

Mizzou 3rd in the conference allowing 121 yards per game and only 2.9 YPC

Mizzou is very good against the rush. aTm has some quality backs but they have not been able to get their running game on track and I wouldnt expect them to this week. Kyle Allen also does not appear to be much of a running threat.

Big advantage Mizzou

When the Aggies Pass-

aTm 1st in the conferenced with 346 yards per game. They have allowed the 4th most sacks per game at 2.3. They have also thrown the 4th most interceptions in conference play.

Mizzou 2nd in the conference at 178 yards per game. 3rd is sacks per game at 3.2, and have picked off 5 passes in conference play good for 9th.

Alot of aTm's yardage was piled up against SC in the first week with Kenny Hill at QB. Kyle Allen will be the likely starter this week and he played well last week after a forgettable outing in his first start. Not sure what to expect, but definitely worth noting that Mizzou will be without Penton for the game and Webb for a half.

Tough call, but Ill go slight advantage Mizzou due to the pass rush and the fact that Allen isnt all that mobile or experienced.

When Mizzou runs-

Mizzou 11th in the conference at 139 yards per game.

aTm last in the conference at 242 yards per game.

Mizzou has not really been able to get the running game going either, but I expect we will see a heavy dose of it and aTm hasnt really stopped anyone. Auburn had a huge game against them last week on the ground.

Advantage Mizzou

When Mizzou throws-

Mizzou is last in the conference at a putrid 110 yards per game.

aTm 11th in the conference allowing 257 yards per game.

Not going to spend a lot of time analyzing this one. Our pass offense has been horrid. aTm hasnt been particularly good at defending it, but apparently you dont have to be against us.

Advantage aTm

Special teams-

Mizzou has better return and coverage teams. aTm has punted better, but Mizzou has been better with field goals.

Advantage Mizzou

Coaching/Misc

Pinkel is doing a very good job with this team playing to strengths and weaknesses. Sumlin looked to have lost this bunch before last week, but that win certainly has to give them some momentum. Some unknowns with a new QB, but Im going to go with the better team on paper.

24-16 Mizzou

1) Some oddities in that data.

2) I'd have a hard time giving the advantage to Mizzou when A&M passes.

What oddities are you referring to? I could have made a mistake. Point it out and I'll fix it.

As far as the passing game. Like I said, it's close. If we were full strength, Id think we'd have a pretty clear advantage.

It's not a mistake. It's just the mix and match nature of OOC data.

The Aggs one, arguable strength has been their passing game, conversely our single largest strength has been our pass rush/attack.

Titan vs Titan!

I like it!

The rest of the other comparisons don't amount to a hill of beans imo.

I really like this game, and match up,

if Webb and Penton were playing.

Most of those numbers come from a team with over 15 different players starting including the qb......

Does not compute.....the only analysis that will work is going to be the post game

Nice analysis. I posted several of these in another thread.

Missouri has a mammoth edge over aTm on special teams from Murphy to place kicking to kick-offs for touchback. And as you highlight, they also should have a considerable edge along both lines.

If this team folded under adversity I could join the hand wringing / woe is me crowd among us, but I don't see it.

They'll ball hard like they have all year and make a game of it.

Webb only out for a half, and Gibson has starting experience. In fact, to me, he is a better man coverage guy but he is really soft against the run. Good game to have this switch if there was one.

Id rather have both, but don't think it will be a determining factor.

Kyle Allen probably cant be stopped, even if golden and ray rip his arms off he will just throw with his legs.

Pretty sure I just read this on ESPN's SEC blog.

Georgia's winning the East, Gators 2nd, Vols 3rd.

The East half of the Big 6 is back!!
