still not a full contract extension. His contract would have expired after next season so this is just a slight vote of confidence.
Won't cost us much to buy out his contract with only one year left if he has another crappy season(likely).

Exactly.
It's essentially a way for Bjork to not make Bianco feel like he's going to the chopping block but at the same time make it possible for us to get his arse outa here after next season.
