Mississippi State head coach Joe Moorhead spoke to reporters on Monday and was asked about the issues of offense after Saturday's 19-3 loss to LSU.

Moorhead mentioned that the coaches are working to get backup quarterback Keytaon Thompson into the offense more but that Nick Fitzgerald is still the better player in practice.

Fitzgerald was 8-for-24 passing for 59 yards and four interceptions vs. LSU last week. He did, however, rush for 131 yards on 23 carries.

Fitzgerald is an awful fit for what Moorhead wants to do and Moorhead isn’t flexible. It boils down to that.
