While Lane Kiffin's future at Ole Miss continues to dominate the headlines in Oxford, Baton Rouge, and Gainesville, Chancellor Glenn Boyce spoke on SportsTalk Mississippi and praised the Rebels' assistant coaching staff.

You can interpret his comments however you like...

Heard a talk show host say buying Lane is like buying a new boat. Happy as hell when you get it but can’t wait for the day when you sell it. Great coach, no doubt, but lots of drama comes along. Lane is the ultimate troll. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he stays put. No reason to leave in the modern era of college football when even Indiana can have a shot at a title.

I doubt Ole Miss is ready to get rid of their boat quite yet

Ole Miss would never find a coach any better. They definitely aren’t trying to get rid of him or happy about it, dumb comment. As far as “trolling,“ LSU, another dumb comment. Why would he not announce that he’s going to stay if he was just going to stay.? That would just hurt his team for the egg bowl and the playoffs.

Why is this a story? He isn’t coming and we don’t give a shite about his assistants
