LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier connected with Georgia State wide receiver Ted Hurst for a one-handed touchdown catch at Senior Bowl practice this week.

It might just be practice, but it's nice to see Nussmeier throwing the ball around again after dealing with a core injury all last season.

Nussmeier is projected to be one of the Top 5 quarterbacks selected in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Non-NIL Nuss can spin a hell of a ball.

Only if he happens to fall to the 4th or 5th round but that won't happen. He will be gone before the 3rd round.

Saints already have a cheap backup QB with plenty of other needs.

I wish the kid lots of luck but he seemed to mail it in this past year.

So he opted out of the bowl game to get an extra year of eligibility, and then he practically opted out of the last half of the season to get ready for the pro scouts in the Senior bowl combine (and the NFL combine). His arm looks ok now that the money is right
