FootballScoop.com is reporting that Steve Sarkisian is making a strong push to have longtime LSU defensive back coach and recruiting coordinator Corey Raymond join his new staff at Texas.
Raymond, a native of New Iberia, La. played for the Tigers from 1988-91 and just finished up his ninth season as an LSU coach.
He signed a 3-year extension last January, worth $600K a year after interviewing with Georgia and Texas A&M following LSU's 2019 National Championship season. He received the Recruiting Coordinator title from Ed Orgeron last March.
