re: Congress won’t let us have nuth’N. Starting in 2026 say goodbye to most THC products.

Now the limit will be 0.4 grams per product. Just eat more gummies. Instead of a donut you will eat 10 donut holes.
So, instead of a 20mg gummy, I should eat 50 0.4mg gummies? Gotcha.
I've watched as Louisiana has restricted the amount over the past year, yet the prices have not dropped along with the THC content. I used to buy a 100mg bottle of lemonade for $17 that would last me a long time. Now, that same bottle of lemonade still costs $17, but only has 5mg.
Yet I can go buy a bottle of Everclear or 135 proof bourbon with nobody batting an eye at any grocery store.
I am an alcoholic. I've given up alcohol and intend to never drink it again. These THC gummies and drinks have been good for this non-smoker. I don't "need" it per se, but it sure has been nice to unwind and relax with no damage to my liver or hangovers the next day.

Salmon on the traeger is one of my favorite things to cook these days. Albertsons has it on sale for $6-7/lb often and one slab feeds the wife & I several times. Cook to 145 and it’s $$.
:wha:
145?!?! Holy moly. I don't let mine get above 125.
re: Do you find yourself getting more emotional as you age?
Posted by BMoney on 11/12/25 at 9:01 am to Master of Sinanju
Short answer: yes.
Long answer: went through a divorce this year, my kids are grown, and I realized that there are fewer years in front of me than there are behind me. It's changed my perspective quite a bit, and I do find myself getting more emotional and introspective about life and the things that are important.

It really isn't right. And I think it's striking a chord with a lot of people and hopefully the uproar will continue.
And not one mainstream media outlet has picked up on it. That's on purpose. Because they sell a lot of ads to the alcohol industry.

horseshite. Not long ago you could get 20mg THC drinks, now you can only buy 5mg. Sounds like regulation to me friend.
Thanks Jeff Landry.

1/2 pound finely grated Romano cheese
1 pint salad oil
Juice of two large lemons
3 cloves finely minced garlic
Shake all ingredients in a quart jar
Pretty much the same here, but I usually go half EVOO and half vegetable oil. I also add 1/4 cup white vinegar as well as some freshly cracked salt and black pepper.

That’s what’s interesting about it. The current laws right now are offering people a way to purchase THC products online through 3rd party tested company. Which is great for people like me who was losing his life to alcohol. But if they change it up, I would have to get some medical card to get the real stuff. But I don’t want to do that because I’m not in pain nor do I want want to have to go through all the hoops just to overpay for something that I could grow myself. Then the other options are go down to the corner store and pick up some Kratom or other crap or worst of all for me, a case of beer.
This. The gummies and drinks have been a game changer for me. Alcohol is not a good thing for me in any way. I've also been able to get off the anxiety medication as well, and my sleep has been fantastic. I have zero desire to smoke anything. I just want to be able to enjoy my gummy that showed up in my mailbox or have a drink with zero alcohol in it in peace and not have the damn government tell me what I can and can't do.
Luckett Farms does one.
Alternatively, go check out the Red Stick Farmers Market. There are several chances every week. Thursday from 8 til noon at Pennington and Saturday from 8 til noon at the Main Street Market downtown. These are all local farmers who offer up produce, as well as meat, seafood and other goods.

Just watch the Kiz chipping video.
Went both days. Friday's crowd was much smaller than Saturday's, but I'm sure that Halloween and Cody Johnson's late scratch had a lot to do with it.
Marcus King was fantastic and Chris Stapleton is always so good.
Traffic leaving on Saturday was awful. Didn't move for a long time. They certainly need a better plan for that. But it's nice having a festival like that so close.

And he was at Boots on the Bayou Saturday night watching Chris Stapleton. Nice little weekend for Tre'.

Went to Mid City Beer Garden to meet. Talked for 4 hours and they made us leave since they were closing. Didn't leave the parking lot for another hour and a half. Been together since.
