It was announced Thursday evening that the SEC will be adding a 9th conference game to the football schedule in 2026.

According to Jacques Doucet, LSU has been in favor of the move and has been planning for it by not scheduling high-caliber out-of-conference games in the future.

And this is the difference between us and Alabama. They hate being challenged.

Bama, Ole Miss, and the Aggies. I was a big fan of the Florida rivalry dating back to the time I was a kid. But hard to argue with the 3 teams they picked.

LSU permanent: Florida, Ole Miss, A&M
Bama permanent: Auburn, Tennessee, Miss St
There’s no way this results in a fair schedule!

Those were "already" the permanent opponents. Everyone just added another one. Besides when the gumps lose to Auburn and Tenn. this year you won't be complaining

This is correct. Bama will have Auburn, UT and State. I heard something else yesterday. Florida would have UGA, Texas and South Car. LSU would be A&M Ole Miss and either Arky or OU most likely. Auburn has UGA, Bama and Vandy.

BK can’t win big in a 8 game schedule and now wants 9 games. Sec will give LSU TX/GA next year on the road….ugh
