LSU running back John Emery has been reportedly suspended for the first two games of the season but is attempting to appeal the suspension, according to Brody Miller with The Athletic.

Emery missed all of last season due to academic issues.

On Saturday, coach Brian Kelly spoke with the media and said that Emery was in good standing with the football team but did not discuss his academics.

College sports can be freed from NCAA tyrants. Conferences should unite and collectively ban NCAA from campuses. Now is a great time to do it.

I think it’s time to cut our losses with him at this point. A total disappointment he’s been.

He must be a complete moron. Athletes don't even go to class anymore, they are all just registered in online classes where someone else does the work. This jack-butt must not have even registered.

This seems like they are truly being punitive in this case so I am wondering if there is more to the story than missing something due to a sick family member.

Its a Beautiful thing being able to read. I guess I'll consider myself lucky and continue to be hopeful Emery is ready to go week 3.
