With new co-offensive coordinator Joe Sloan taking over play-calling duties following Mike Denbrock's departure and quarterback Garrett Nussmeier replacing Jayden Daniels, the Tigers offense is expected to look somewhat different in 2024.

LSU tight end Mason Taylor spoke with reporters after practice on Wednesday and talked about some of the changes coming, including more 12 personnel, with the tight ends having a bigger role.

The Patriots were nearly unstoppable back in the day running 12 personnel with Ground and Hernandez. With the way we've been recruiting TE's the last couple of years, we could have an offense that is tough to stop!

It forces the D to play a little larger than they might want. Bigger linebackers is less speed.

Well that’s a good thing your qb isn’t supposed to be the entire offense

Not a first round pick , blocking , downfield routes , pass protection all will have to jump out to turn heads but he is consistent .

Coaching and QB that he has an idea of what he is going to do, will help in his decision making so you may be wrong.

It is enevitable his year will be great. The TE's will have to be involved this year and Taylor can play the game of football.

If any of that comes to fruition, Mason Taylor will be a 1st round pick.

He is gonna have to work on his durability and toughness. Gets tackled in a nice route and run and then sits frequently

We need to stop throwing around first round pick. That’s such hard thing to accomplish. He will be very good but not a first round pick. You can bookmark it
