ESPN's updated College Football Power Rankings dropped LSU down one spot to No. 21.

No. 21 LSU Tigers
Previous ranking: 20

You can question plenty of things about this LSU team right now. You can question a defense that got hit for gains of 75, 66, 39, 31 and 27 yards by South Carolina. You can question an offense that entered the red zone seven times but scored only four touchdowns. You can question Garrett Nussmeier's decision-making in some of those red zone failures, too. You can question its initial game plans and preparation, too, after the Tigers fell behind 17-0 to the Gamecocks (a week after leading Nicholls State only 23-21 early in the second half). But you can't question their resilience.

They went on a 29-7 run to take a fourth-quarter lead at Williams-Brice Stadium, and after South Carolina took the lead back, they drove 55 yards for the winning score with 1:12 left. Nussmeier threw for 285 yards, freshman Caden Durham brought life to the run game and somehow the Tigers survived. -- Connelly

We didn't play well but we beat an SEC opponent in a hostile environment who just came off a big SEC road win of their own. We have two games to get right before Ole Miss at our house, a lot can change between now and then.

if we can figure out our offensive and defensive lines in those two weeks, it's possible we could make some noise...

It'll work itself out over the course of season, but LOL at Michigan and Notre Dame being ranked higher than LSU.

Congrats on being the first team to ever win an SEC game on the road and still drop in the rankings...

in the coming weeks, lsu should pick up 2 fairly easy wins at homes vs lesser teams, and then comes ol miss... if lsu can show improvement in line play, the running game could become a huge factor... lsu plays ol miss AND alabama at home, and if they can get better each week, they could be competitive in both - if they can run the ball and stop the run... it's all about the line play for lsu

the polls will reflect it... not mad today...

How about the coaches coaching a f-ton better and have the players ready to go at first kick. Tired of hearing bullshite and lack of production.
