LSU running back Leonard Fournette was out visiting a shelter for displaced flood victims on Thursday and told The Advocate's Ross Dellenger that he will play in season opener against Wisconsin, despite recently suffering an ankle injury.

Fournette sprained his ankle during LSU's scrimmage on Tuesday and has been wearing a walking boot since.

This man is a champion for his team, his university, and his state. Out there bringing smiles to people who need them, not worrying about himself right now. He'll be ready to go when his team needs him.

We need all hands on deck. If LF can suit up he should play. Can't take anybody for granted, we need him.

He learned after last season if you miss a game(or it's canceled) the heisman voters are incapable of critical thinking and will give it to someone else with 1 more game played and a couple more yards.

He should just sit out. Let Guice run buck-wild All over Wisconsin and put the rest of the Nation on notice. Fournette could sit, rest, and we'd STILL destroy Wiscy.

agreed...I'd start Guice and only bring on LF if necessary.

How bout start Leonard, let him murk the first half, and IF he slows down THEN put in Guice.
