During a recent episode of the "The Matt Barrie Show," ESPN's Paul Finebaum and Barrie revealed their picks for the College Football playoff.

Finebaum went with the obvious teams of Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Alabama, while Barrie picked USC, LSU, Ohio State, and Texas in his playoff. Per The Spun:
quote:

"I think USC is loaded and they’re going to figure it out,” Barrie said. “I'm going Sark and Texas to win the Big 12 in its final year in the conference. I'm going LSU out of the SEC. I think they got enough coming back and I think Georgia is just enough getable. And finally, I'm going with the Ohio State Buckeyes. I believe that out of any team in the country, when it comes to skill positions from wide receiver to running back, they are loaded.”

Don't know if I'd pick us for the playoffs this year, but it's sign of where the program is that we're back in the discussion. That should be the case every year for the foreseeable future.

Usc and Texas seem to be media darlings. I think when the seasons over there will be a lot of people eating crow on picking either of them to finish high.

Has USC learned how to play defense yet? Just asking for a friend!

I'd rather see that than everybody picking some combination of Bama, Georgia, USC, OSU, and Michigan. At least he's being original and probably has it more correct than anybody else. 2 teams from the playoff last year won't be there this year, but that doesn't automatically mean Bama and USC are going to be the teams in it.

Interesting! Nobody will watch it with any of those underdog teams in it. Without osu, gumps or Dawgs, can't be a CFP.
