LSU coach Brian Kelly held his weekly press conference on Monday afternoon and provided injury updates on center Braelin Moore and tight end Trey'Dez Green.

Kelly said that both MRIs were positive and both will be listed as questionable this week.
quote:

Braelin Moore update:

"We didn't get the true sense that we have a high ankle sprain with Braelin," Kelly explained. "There was nothing that gave us the sense that this would be a tight-rope procedure and he would be out for four weeks."

"He's going to be day-to-day. We will get him out there tomorrow. He felt better today. We will list him as 'questionable,' and that status could change to 'probable' as we progress through the week."

Trey'Dez Green update:

"Trey'Dez has a sprain," Kelly said. "The good news is that it's a sprained MCL. And as you know, those are injuries you can come back from, and rather quickly. We'll list him as 'questionable' and work our way through the week and see where he is at the end of the week."
All in all, these are good updates from Coach Kelly.

Braelin's injury was a potential season ruiner based on how the line looked without him in there. This is fantastic news.

Sit them this week, Florida does not play fair, I would rather have them healthy against OM the following week away. At home with our defense, we should beat Florida. OM is legit, so to me that would be better to get them back for that one. Thank goodness it was not torn in both cases.

Southern is after Florida, which he should sit for too to be prepared for Ole Miss.

Southeast not Southern. But your point is still valid.

This is a tactic to keep the opposition having to prepare like the two guys will play. Kelly knows 100% they both out but publicly announcing this is intentional

Man, IF all of this is true, we got lucky as hell. Either one of these injuries could last the rest of the season, if their rehab is not handled correctly.

Hmmm...I think that this is to just keep Billy guessing and planning for each to play.

"Kelly said that both MRIs were positive and both will be listed as questionable this week." "positive" usually means something bad...the good news is if the MRIs were "negative". Perhaps, positive here means something but nothing bad. Bottom line: the way I read his message the better sentence would have been "both MRIs showed minor injuries" Fortunately, he did expand on the sentence above because I thought both players had significant injuries due to the way he said it.
