Three-star offensive guard Kimo Makaneole from Niceville, FL officially signed with LSU on Wednesday.

The 6-4, 285-pound prospect from Niceville High School was a one-time Florida State commit but reopened his recruitment on Dec. 29 and gave his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Jan. 1.

This kid will become a beast with the S&C program, along with the training table. He will be as strong as a Clydesdale.

You would’ve complained had he not tried to sign another lineman since it’s a position of need. It just so happens there were no other 4 and 5 stars that wanted to come this year. What would you suggest we do in that case?

You want to make them feel welcomed regardless if they are a 5 star or 3 star. He is a kid leaving home to live out his dream and you feel he shouldn't say hold that Tiger? Obviously if he is being recruited by a program like LSU they see potential there. Man how quick we forget that some great LSU players that were 3 star players out of high school such as Justin Jefferson, Mo Clairborne, Jacob Hester, Jalen Mills, Lloyd Cushenberry just to name a few off the top of my head.

Normally id say great another 3 star but we have many top rated 4 star Olineman sitting on the bench that dont seem to be progressing very well.

Don’t care how many stars to get here....player development after you are here is what matters. Geaux Tigahs.
