Former Texas defensive tackle Sydir Mitchell has reportedly committed to LSU.

Mitchell, a former four-star prospect from Oradell, N.J., was originally recruited by defensive line coach Bo Davis before he left Austin for the LSU job.

The 6’6, 350-pounder played in five games this year, registering four total tackles as a backup.

He will have 3 years of eligibility remaining at LSU.

DT rotation is looking better and better. Land Payton & a legit S, add the targeted OL, and put this portal season in the books!

It’s a business now, it’s no longer about fighting for your current team when you are more worried about yourself.
While I appreciate the addition, college football as a whole sucks right now.

Big pickup in the trenches

I worry about a guy who leaves a team chasing a natty for a personal over team move. Bad look and questionable team culture.

Then change the transfer rules…

What does that have to do with worrying about the character of a guy that would rather chase for his own gain than with a team chasing a national championship?

Stupid move! We just got rid of a 5-star big body in Maason Smith that was a complete bust. So, now we go get an overweight Texas second string DL - that I'm sure LSU is paying a lot of money - and we think he's going to improve our DL. If you haven't proven yourself on the field, then why are we even talking to this guy. Don't want to hear about any injury or he takes up a lot of space and he has unlimited potential because we're not in a position to take a flyer and hope it works out.

I guess his position coach, who left and is one of the best in business, doesn’t know shite about his job. Got it.
