Florida State edge rusher Patrick Payton is expected to visit LSU this weekend, according to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
The redshirt junior from Miami, Fla., has played in 39 games for the Seminoles with a career total of 110 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, and 16 sacks.
Patrick is rated as the top available defensive player in the transfer portal.
LSU signed edge rushers Jimari Butler from Nebraska and Jack Pyburn from Florida last week. Signing a third edge rusher like Payton would put LSU in a good spot and help replace Bradyn Swinson, Sai'vion Jones, and Da'Shawn Womack.
