New LSU edge rushers coach Kevin Peoples was in Mississippi on Tuesday and visited with four-star linebacker Jarcoby Hopson.

Hopson, a 6-2, 205 prospect from Lake Cormorant, Miss., is ranked the 20th linebacker in the country and the 5th-best player from Mississippi for the class of 2025, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Hopson holds offers from 10 SEC schools. He received his offer from the Tigers in April of 2022.

Perfect for their defense! I think they want it to look similar to the 2019 defense. Very versatile with LB’s that can play safety and safety that can play LB. Jacoby Stevens and Patrick Queen types. Punish you when you come over the middle and can tackle anything around the edges. That front 4 will be taken care of by Mr. Bo Davis and company! Can’t wait to see this future defense!

He doesn’t look like someone really interested in LSU. But we will see.

Really need speedy LB's. Have been burned in Coverage last few years.
