Four-star Kansas wide receiver commit Devonta Jason of Landry-Walker in New Orleans, LA was sporting some LSU football gloves during his game vs. West Jefferson on Thursday night.

The 6-3, 185-pound prospect was originally committed to LSU but reopened his recruitment last Summer. He gave his verbal pledge to Kansas last February.

He is rated the No. 4 wide receiver in the country and the No. 2 overall player from the state of Louisiana, according to Rivals.

Both Jason and his teammate Corione Harris, a 4-star cornerback/quarterback are major targets for the LSU coaching staff.

Why would he de-commit from a storied football program like Kansas that has such a bright future too?? Heck, with some luck, Kansas may have a winning season in the next decade or two!! LOL

Starting to place him in many recruiting class projections as a likely LSU eventual signees. He's more likely than Ja'Marr Chase to sign with LSU, and probably about as likely as Kamryn Babb, Justin Watkins, and Lawrence Keys III, perhaps even more likely than they are, maybe. Most likely additional WRs for 2018 (on top of current commits, Kenan Jones and Jaray Jenkins, arguably, Tae Provens): Terrace Marshall Kamryn Babb Justin Watkins Devonta "Whop" Jason Lawrence Keys III, or maybe: Jalen Hall Ja'Marr Chase There are other possibilities as well, some who may circle back around after coaching changes or more disappointments in the season progressions of the teams they are presently committed to or looking hardest at - it's a long, long list.

Someone should show him where Kansas is on a map and tell him how cold it gets there.

Going to go out on a limb and say that the gloves match his uniform better. People buy into these kids attention games far too much. Hope to hell we get him but the fact he is wearing LSU gloves doesn't scream I'm commitment.

Or, ya know, maybe he wore the gloves because of the color combination? It goes with the helmet.
