Four-star tight end Glenn Beal from New Orleans, LA unveiled his top six schools Sunday and included LSU in the mix.

His top school at this time are LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Oregon, UCLA, and Arkansas.

Beal, a 6-5, 250-pound prospect from John Curtis High School is rated the No. 10 tight end in the country and the No. 13 overall player from the state of Louisianna for the class of 2018, according to 247Sports.

I'm sure it's for depth purposes, Ragin' Tiger. Injuries happen all the time, unfortunately. It could also signify that Coach C. is planning on actually throwing the ball to our Tight Ends! Now that's a reason to get excited! Also, one may block better, and the other may be a better receiver. I'm sure it's a mix. Hope we get him!

I really want Beal in this class. I honestly don't know why they accepted Sheffer's commitment. If sheffer gets moved to fullback fine, but I hope it doesn't deter Beal from becoming a Tiger.

I realize LSU will play multiple TE's. I think that scholarship can be used better on an offensive lineman or nose tackle.
