Elite five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench announced his spring visit schedule and will travel to LSU on March 9.

Ffrench, a 6-1, 185-pound prospect from Jacksonville, Fla. (Mandarin), is rated as a Top-5 wide receiver for the class of 2025. He was committed to Alabama but reopened his recruitment after Nick Saban retired.

Shortly after his de-commitment, LSU co-OC's Cortez Hankton and Joe Sloan dropped in to visit him

LSU has two wide receivers committed for 2025: Five-star and No. 1 overall wide receiver Dakorien Moore and four-star prospect TaRon Francis.

Ffrench or ffrench is a relatively rare surname found in Ireland, a variant of the name French.

The name originated in France and was brought by the Normans, who landed in Bannow Bay, County Wexford, Ireland in 1169. According to Surname DB the original name is of Early Medieval English and Norman origin.[1] It is a topographical name for someone who lived near an ash tree or ash wood, being derived from the Old French "fraisne, fresne", ash tree.

They were not from Normandy. They were from Wales, Cambro-Norman (descendants of Normans/Anglo-Normans who had gained Wales under Henry II, a Great-grandson of William the Conqueror). Anglo-Normans also participated in the invasion of Ireland.
