Following LSU's season-ending loss to Utah in the NIT, head coach Will Wade addressed the team in the locker room and had this to say:

The "cavalry" that Wade referred to is LSU's No. 2 nationally ranked recruiting class that will be joining the team later this summer.

LSU's 2018 recruiting class includes five-star power forward Naz Reid, four-star point guard Ja'Vonte Smart and four-star power forward Darius Days who have already signed with the Tigers. Five-star power forward Emmitt Williams is also committed to LSU and will be signing with the Tigers this Spring.

Wade finished his first season at LSU with an 18-15 (8-10 SEC) record with one post-season win in the NIT. The Tigers went just 10-21 (2-16 SEC) last year under former coach Johnny Jones.

Before this season started, LSU was predicted to come in last in the SEC but finished 9th in the conference ahead of Georgia, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss.

Outstanding class for next season Exceptional when you add that this was his first season. Strong assistants at his side as well.

Ain't sold at all. They can't defend for shite. Watch the game from last night. Pitiful, no close out on shots, can't defend the pick and roll, etc. Gave up a season high to Utah. Pac-12 was terrible this year as well. When you allow teams to shoot 60% plus against you, you ain't beating anyone. Brady was horrible offensively; however, his teams defended. You have to score to win; then again, if the other team can't score due to ball pressure and help defense, you will always have a chance.

Not sure you watched the same game I did. I saw two starters hardly play because of illnesses. I saw a Utah team that shot lights out no matter who was on them. Utah would of beat 8-10 of the sweet 16 teams the way they played LSU. By the way, he was talking about new players coming in douche flute
