LSU junior guard Brandon Sampson is entering the NBA Draft and has hired an agent according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Sampson averaged 7.7 points and 2.6 rebounds a game during the 2017-2018 season. He missed six games this past season after suffering an ankle injury vs. Notre Dame on Nov. 21.

I think he knows he is not ready but he sees the talent coming in next year. His chance to start next year was 0%

Always seemed like he had a lot of potential but never quite put it together, other than the ULL game a few other flashes. Best of luck in the future.

Why can't anybody just congratulate him for chasing his dream and wish him luck? Let's just bash the kid instead.

“Sampson averaged 7.7 points and 2.6 rebounds a game during the 2017-2018 season. He missed six games this past season after suffering an ankle injury vs. Notre Dame on Nov. 21.” This is just what the NBA has been looking for.

In Basketball the odds are stacked against most unless you are so special. I just don't see these young men passing on education and opportunity for a one shot NBA career. We need to clear the deck and let those who want pro to go pro. Those who want a degree get a degree. End of story, or beginning!

Every year people whine about juniors leaving, and usually are flat wrong. I include myself with quaterman who I thought wiuld flop and he just inked two years with the Rockets. We're headed for several more one and Done players with the way Wade is recruiting. I say we're better off in this direction.

He doesn't have anything right now that translates to the NBA other than being able to dunk. Temple couldn't shoot we could play defense. He shoots a low percentage from the field.... Can't really slash in a half-court set.... And has an extremely hard time defending the perimeter. The sad part is that most of the deficiencies can be fixed with hard-working development. The only thing I can think of is that he is going to have his minutes gobbled up by newcomers. The frontcourt Elvis finally here that we are going to be low on shooters once again
